A 44-year-old man from Acton has been arrested after Hertfordshire Police conducted a series of raids across the country.

They executed a warrant on Thursday 22 May at a warehouse on Extension Road in Hertford and discovered £2million worth of cocaine.

The man was arrested on suspicion of drug offences along with a 59-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man from Hatfield. The trio have since been released on bail.

Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Serious and Organised Crime team, Operation Relentless, have launched an investigation into a what they believe to be a significant drugs supply network, after the discovery.

The previous day the police had raided a property in Hatfield which was believed to be the home of a vulnerable person who was being exploited by drug dealers in a practice known as ‘cuckooing’. It is not known if the raids are connected.

A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Operation Relentless team, said, “Operation Relentless will pursue anyone involved in drug supply and Hertford residents should be reassured by this significant seizure, knowing those drugs will not make it onto the streets of Hertford and beyond.”
