Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Knightsbridge say they have found significant evidence following raids on two properties in Chiswick.

As a result the police now believe that this may have been a targeted attack.

Three arrests of men in their twenties have so far been made in connection with the death of 24-year-old Blue Stevens on Seville Street outside the five-star Park Tower Hotel just before 9:30pm on Wednesday 9 July.

Mr Stevens who was from Yateley, Hampshire was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency service workers to save him.

The father of two was the grandson of Les Stevens, the light heavyweight boxer who fought against John Conteh.

The police say they arrested two men at an address in Hounslow this Saturday (12 July). One remains in police custody after being detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. The other was bailed pending further investigations.

Following these arrests, a warrant was obtained to search the two properties in Chiswick. As a result of the evidence found, another man was arrested on Monday, 14 July on suspicion of assisting an offender and he remains in custody.

Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, who leads policing in Central West London, said, “These arrests mark a significant milestone in this complex and unfolding murder investigation.

“We continue to progress at pace. While we retain an open mind around motive, one line of enquiry is now that this may have been a targeted attack.

“Increased police patrols remain active in and around the Knightsbridge area. Please do speak with an officer if you have any questions or concerns.”
