Annual race helped raise awareness of missing Alice Gross
Ealing was a sea of yellow yesterday as thousands of runners donned ribbons - the symbol in the #FindAlice appeal.
The 13.1 mile route was covered too - members of the community have been working tirelessly to keep the missing school girl at the forefront of everyone's attention.
Race director Kelvin walker said: "We run through an area where she lives and quite close to where her school is, so it's a very poignant day. The whole course is littered with ribbons, it's a very emotional sight.''
Police - who also wore the ribbons- handed out posters about the 14-year-old who has been missing from home for over a month now.
Over four and a half thousand runners took part in this year's Ealing Half Marathon - many raising money for a variety of charities.
The winner - Ben Siwa completed the course in an incredible 1.07.
