The polls close today at 7pm
May 7, 2026
Voters across Ealing are heading to the polls today (Thursday 7 May) to elect the councillors who will represent them for the next four years.
Polling stations are open until 10pm, and residents who have not voted by post will be casting their ballots in person throughout the day.
Ealing is divided into 24 wards, each represented by either two or three councillors. In 22 wards, residents will elect three councillors; in the remaining two wards, they will elect two. Full lists of candidates for every ward are available on the council’s website.
The political party that wins the most seats will form the next administration and lead Ealing Council until 2030. Councillors play a central role in shaping local priorities, overseeing services and representing the interests of their communities.
Ealing Council is responsible for hundreds of services that affect daily life for more than 385,000 residents. These include:
The outcome of today’s election will determine who runs these services and sets the borough’s direction for the next four years.
Where to vote
Your polling card tells you the location of your polling station, but you can also look it up on the council’s website. If you don’t have your polling card, it is advisable to check the location on the council web site, as some sites have changed since the last election. Polling stations are open 7am–10pm.
Remember your photo ID
Voters must bring an accepted form of photo ID to the polling station. This can include a passport, driving licence or other approved documents. A full list is available on the council website. Without valid ID, you will not be able to vote.
