Man arrested and cordons around Broadway A man was arrested by police early this morning, July 30, following an assault which took place around 4am in the area outside St Paul's Church. Police say the victim of the assault was a man, thought to be Polish, aged around 40. His injuries were not considered serious and though he was taken to Charing Cross Hospital for treatment, he discharged himself and returned to the scene of the assault. Commuters coming through Hammersmith Broadway this morning found areas remained cordoned off by police while they investigated the attack. The cordons have since been removed. June 30, 2010
